Bitterbrush Walkers - Tennessee Walking Horses

One of our primary goals is to raise naturally gaited Tennessee Walkers, and to work with them in a manner that we have come to believe is very important in developing calm, confident horses. Training is done in a positive way and looked at as a way to build a horses confidence both in themselves and people. We also believe that there are numerous ways to approach a goal and don't mind taking a longer or different route with a horse when needed. Time and patience are great things to remember when working with horses.

We also believe that understanding our horses is very important, because just like people, not all horses are alike and they can't be handled and trained in the same way. While each horse is waiting to "come of age" to be ridden, we evaluate where each is individually and work with them accordingly.

TRAINING FEES:

• Full training -  $600/month  5 days/week of training which may include ground work or training rides.

We also offer lessons as well as horse training.

Lessons cover all aspects of riding and horsemanship, including safety, how to groom, how to tack up, parts of the horse, knowing your tack, leading a horse, and more.  Individual help is offered at your farm also. At YOUR farm:

• $50 for private, plus mileage.

At OUR farm: 

• $40 for private (one rider for 40-60 minutes)
